The 24 lane Springlake Lanes was started in 1961 and opened by 1965. The total cost at the time was $525k which translates to over $5 million in 2025 dollars. Incredible. Our predecessors didn't mess around when they built things in the mid-century era. The last scores mentioned in the newspaper archives were from 2007 so the alley must have closed soon after. The building now houses 2 retail stores.
