The 40,000 sq fit, 40 lane Holiday Lanes went up in 1961 and was owned by Dick Maury at the time. He also operated the Spartan Lames on Michigan Ave and Strand Lanes. It contained league meeting rooms, cocktail lounge, snack bar, restaurant, billiard room and children’s play room, with a lighted parking area for 350 cars. The original 60's motif was quite something. The sign is still up but obviously the name has changed. It is now known as Spare Time Entertainment Center as of 2023.
