This motel goes back to the 1950's. It was owned by Craig Wise in the 80's and Sandy Alward in the 90's. Mr. Wise hatched a plan in 1981 to demolish the old motel and build a new motel and conference center. The board approved the plan but apparently it didn't come to fruition as it came up for for sale in 1982 in its original incarnation. The motel was closed in the late 1990's and the council approved a move by McDonalds to occupy the old motel lot in 2000. It has been a McDonalds ever since.
