This miniature golf course goes back to 1964 or before. It was eventually replaced by a series of auto repair stores starting in the mid 1980's.
From a 1980's ad: "Putt-Putt Golf 11900 Middlebelt Livonia. Fee: $2.50 per game, $5 for three games Miniature courses: Three 18-hole courses. Par 36. Hours unavailable - call first. This is the putt-putt-putters course. Even the restrooms are Miss or Mister Putt-Putt. The beat of the rock music that blares from overhead speakers can either enhance or louse up your stroke. You can follow up a game with a few plays on the course's video machines buy a stuffed animal. The most difficult hole is No. 7, which has stakes that are sure to block yow ball, much like a putt-putt pinball game. Par is two; good luck. The record here was set by Mark Shilling. who scored a record 27. Be forewarned, a plaque warns the exasperated, "to ensure quality putting, do not strike carpet with putter."
