The Amo Theather was located were Grand River Avenue met Brooklyn street. I am 60 years old and i remember seeing King Kong there and the movie the "THING". it didn't close until around 1955 and than we all started going to the Globe show at grand river and Trumbull.

Seems it has been demolished.
